OXFORD CANAL BOAT HIRE

Last June we started the build – now all painted and ready to go – Comet is probably one of the best narrow boats of its class on the waterways  It sports a 6 speaker acoustic system, electric flush loo, gas cooker with oven, central heating, shower, all LED lights, great radio, TV and DVD.  What a boat!!

Comet is available for either day hire or for short breaks.

Comet will be luxuriously fitted with basin & shower, electric loo in separate cubicle, one double bed (king size), fridge, cooker and a great lighting and sound system on board for that great party day out with friends and family.  There will be both seating inside and out for those glorious summer days.   Booking is now available on the web site – so don’t delay – get that special day or weekend away booked now.

‘Comet’, our new 40ft narrowboat ready for 2017 season as a day boat or short break boat

Our new 40′ narrowboat ‘Comet’ will be available for the 2017 season for either day hire or short breaks.   The boat will be very well equipped with a a nice galley, electric lavatory, shower and a one a double berth.  ‘Comet’ will have inside seating as well as outside under cover.  So, if you are considering either a day afloat or a three/four day break, please contact us for prices and availability.

Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats to build new 40ft Day/Overnight boat on their slipway

Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats will start a new build on their slipway at Twyford Wharf on Monday 15th May.  This is a really exciting venture!  Having a boat build on your own doorstep.  The shell is expected to be completed by the end of July with all other fitting out completed by end of December 2016.

The boat will be named ‘Comet’ after ‘Chieftain’ and ‘Conqueror’ – all British Army battle tanks.

Comet will have overnight accommodation for 4 – one double and two camp beds- shower, pump out loo, galley and a great viewing area at the bow.  Steve Emery is building Comet and Colin will be his ‘laborer’.  Engine will be supplied by Canaline ( 32hp) with all interior equipment being of a very high specification.
